Did you know that in 1987 there were 11,766,000 meter of sewer lines in Tokyo? There are probably more now.
Having this trivia memorialized on a sewer cover in Ginza seems appropriate. Sort of a manhole cover version of a Snapple cap with soft drink trivia.
It's especially interesting to me because it ties Tokyo to Miami, a place that I once considered my home.

Accident? What are you worring about?
I am worrying about HYGIENE!!! That's what... Usually, Japanese are super duper obsessive about it. People always have handkerchiefs to dry hands, and always tissues to blow noses to avoid spreading germs. But in most parks where there are water play areas, there are always several children in nappies (or diapers) playing. It looks worse that it is... but even swim diapers hang a little lower than regular diapers and can leak.
Anyway, I am always amused by t-shirts with nonsensical English (aka Engrish). Considering the location and condition of the nappy that this child is wearing, I feel that there is nothing that would stop an accident if it were to happen.

Cuddly Bears in Ginza?
There are some unusual upscale shops in Ginza. During one of my walks I found Cuddly Brown, Ginza Teddy Bear Museum. I didn't go in so I am not really sure if it is a museum or really a shop.
Upon closer look this enterprising and busy bear looks like she's having a drink while at work.

Godzilla
I was in Ginza this past weekend and stumbled across this small statue of Godzilla. It probably should have been bigger considering his awesome size in the movies. At least he wasn't covered in pigeon poo.... Perhaps the birds were scared of him?

Steam Locomotive Cafe and Bar
I don't review restaurants or food on my blog, but I do post photos when I find the food or restaurant to be interesting or unusual. The newly opened Steam Locomotive Cafe and Bar located in Ginza's Shin Yurakucho Building qualifies.
In addition to various train memorabilia. A large model train set is featured as the centerpiece of the restaurant. If you've ever owned a model train set, it just makes you happy being in the place.
The model is quite detailed. There is plenty of action (frozen) happening on the street level too.
